  • 2017

  • Prof. Zhang attended "Sweden-China Green Development Forum" and proposed the concept and system of China Construction 4.0 internationally.

  • China Construction 4.0 International Innovation Forum will serve as the international platform for the China International Forum on Building Industry, including Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, Hunan Province; Department of Science and Technology, Hunan Province; Changsha Municipal Government; Group Hunan Xiangjiang New Area Management Committee; China State Construction Development Co. Ltd; Sponsored by Hunan University; Architectural Society of China.

  • Hunan China Construction 4.0 Building Industry Academy,Innovation Platform and consortium were established (www.construct4.cn).

  • China（Changsha）Green Building Expo was initiated , which was renamed as Prefabricated Building and Construction Technology Expo since 2017(www.higbe.org).

  • Took apart in IEA EBC Annex62 as a national representative of China in ventilation technology study.

  • The National Center for International Research Collaboration in Building Safety and Environment was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology.

  • The Evaluation and Promotion Platform for Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction was approved by the Ministry of Finance and the National Development and Reform Commission.

  • 2012

  • Undertaken major scientific and technological projects in Hunan Province,took apart in the IEA ECES Annex 31 project and conducted international cooperation research on district energy and energy storage technologies.

  • 2009

  • 10 national demonstration projects regarding to renewable energy buildings, energy conservation monitoring, energy-saving and emission reduction were completed with the total financial funding about 2 billion RMB and 10 provincial technical standards were compiled.

  • Secured 6 projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology, including green building design, renewable energy applications, ventilation technology, etc.

  • Awarded the first prize of scienceand technology progress of the Ministry of Education and the second prize of science and technology progress of Hunan Province.

  • Center for Sustainable Built Environment, Hunan University was established(www.chinasbe.com, it was renamed as Institute for Sustainable Urbanization and Construction Innovation, Hunan University in 2017).

  • Journal of Building Energy & Environment (www.chinabee.org), which is sponsored by Architectural Society of China,was published by Netsun. Prof. Zhang was appointed as the editor-in-chief.

  • 2001

  • Firstly held a large international conference in the field of HVAC in China: The 4th International Conference on Indoor Air Quality, Ventilation and Energy Conservation in Buildings(IAQVEC2001).

  • 1999

  • Changsha Ruili Netsun Culture Communication Co. Ltd was founded (www.netsun.com.cn it was renamed as Changsha Ruili Netsun Culture Communication Co., Ltd. in 2015).

  • 1998

  • Prof. Zhang developed the first Internet website in the field of HVAC&R in China(www.chinahvacr.com).
